Introducing Matthew Thomas Fowles

Matthew Thomas Fowles was born on February 2, 2006 (02/02/06) at 5:14 pm.  He weighed in at 8 lbs, 9.5 oz, and was 21 inches long.  As you will see from the pictures, he was born looking very healthy with short brown hair.  Put simply, in our opinions he is simply adorable!

Andrea had our baby at the Allen Birthing Center.  Being in the birthing center was almost like being at home- it was the next best thing (for us), with no continual interruptions, poking, or prodding; just peace, serenity, and warmth to greet our new baby into the world. 

Andrea and I and the baby were home by 8:00 pm that same evening.  Our good friends took our other children for that evening, so we had the House all to ourselves that first night to enjoy our beautiful baby boy.  We very much enjoyed getting to know our little newborn over his wispy but hearty cries throughout the night.

The kids got to meet their new baby brother the next day.  They were very excited to see him and continually commented on how cute he was and ow much they loved him.  Of course, Hannah (the youngest, who is being "de-throned" by this baby) was not exactly sure at first how she felt about him when she saw Andrea holding him instead of her for the first time.  But she has come around and tries to be very sweet to the baby.

WE LOVE OUR MATTHEW, and thank Heavenly Father for sending him to our home.

At any rate, without further adieu, I introduce to you Matthew Thomas Fowles:
