I recently had the pleasure of visiting St. Paul’s for the first time. I was not aware of the chapel nor the Roll of Honor. I was very moved and had to take a moment to gather myself. In this holy place a beautiful act of friendship from the British people. I will not forget our time at St Paul’s.

Glenn was the Uncle I never met but he was a big reason why I decided o make the Air Force a 26-year career. I attended the reunion last August in San Diego of his 379th Bombardment Group based at RAF Kimbolton. Sadly, there are only about 20 or so original members and most of the reunion group was mae up of children. But I enjoyed chatting with some of the original members about their combat experiences. They are truly the Greatest Generation.

Many thanks to my Dad who gave me more information about Glenn’s service which I have used to update that section of this post this morning. Hard to resist the pull of stories about Our Dead.
